Who we are
Vacvator is a privately owned Australian manufacturer of hydro-vacuum excavation trucks, dry vacuum and jetting equipment.
The business was first started in 2006 to build vacuum excavation equipment and support its parent company who were involved in horizontal directional drilling and mining industries with manufacturing of related equipment and maintenance services.
In more recent years the business has focused solely on the manufacture of hydro-vacuum excavation trucks for the non-destructive-digging (NDD) market and other vacuum and jetting units for the industrial, utility and mining sectors.
We strive to develop our units to be the most efficient they can be, to ensure our clients have the most productive trucks on the market.
One of the biggest challenges for the business has been to keep up with repeat orders from existing clients, some purchasing multiple trucks at a time. The business has grown to meet the demand in the market and has now manufactured trucks for clients in most states in Australia.
All our trucks are designed, manufactured, painted and assembled in our facility in Goulburn NSW. We use only Australian made high quality steel in our assemblies to ensure the best quality we can for our product. The business continually strives to develop our trucks to be the most efficient they can be to ensure our clients have the most productive units on the market. We have built in the latest CAN Bus technology for ease of operation, to protect the transmission components, enable operational diagnostics and to ensure thetrucks are safe to operate both in the field and when traveling to and from site. Along with this technology our design and component selection has meant our trucks are some of the quietest on the market at 82 dBA. This allows the trucks to be used in built up areas where environmental restrictions limits are enforced, it is also very important for operator comfort and their overall safe use of the trucks.
The business has its own in-house quality, safety and incident management system. All incidents either design, safety, process or procedure are tracked, documented then actioned through ‘Vault’ our document and design quality management software. We are relentless at ensuring our processes and procedures are followed during manufacturing to ensure quality and consistency of all our products.
