Quietest on the market
Vacvator have long recognised that noise is one of the biggest concerns for vacuum truck owners given their predominant working environment is in urban areas.
Using the truck engine as its primary source means that it does not need to run at high RPM to run the blower unit, this coupled with the vacuum blower selection and the blower muffler design means that all our trucks operate below 82 dBA. The lower overall dBA level has a positive benefit for the general public and other operations working in the surrounding environment, reducing their exposure to excessive noise.
Most clients are required by a development application and municipal environmental constraints to maintain a noise level just above the background noise. For this reason Vacvator, although being one of the quietest trucks on the market, continue to reduce the noise level through good design and product selection. The feedback from our customers has been very encouraging and we are determined to continue making it an innovation priority for future units.
Low emission engines
Vacvator has partnered with Hino as its truck supplier of choice. Not only are they the most suitable for weight distribution of its class and has an ideal transmission configuration for what we need, they are also one of the cleanest Japanese medium duty truck in Australia. They meet Japan’s stringent pPNLT emissions standards (Equivalent to Euro 6) due to their unique exhaust gas after-treatment unit which contains a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system and Diesel Particulate Reduction (DPR) system.
The feedback we get from our customers about the fuel economy is also very encouraging.
As Vacvator have designed the truck engine as its source of power to run all hydraulics and the vacuum system, and it is one of the quietest on the market, we believe we have delivered the best environmentally conscious package for vacuum excavation.
